TIE interceptors present a highly efficient planform with large solar collecting wings in a broad hexagonal shape located on either side of the spherical cockpit module above the twin ion engines, which have SFS I-a2b solar ionization reactors at their points. Chin laser cannons appear to be an afterthought, protruding from behind structural beams and panel seams. Wings on-bound aerodynamic radiator fins cooling the engines, stabilization wings, and exhaust grilles add speed-appropriate precision to the craft. Color the wings in an energy-absorbing black and the cockpit in a protective gray, and apply orange thruster glows from the engines, like those signaling a crime in progress in Return of the Jedi.
