In the midst of bellowing, this dragon does not hold back, with its mouth agape and crammed with serrated teeth and a forked tongue. The face and neck include layers of overlapping scales, forwards-jutting horns, and flame-like spines from its head. The snake-like shape of its neck is included to give it some movement and provide even more detailing.

The heavy line-work is partnered at times with cross-hatching, so both beginners and advance colorists will have fairly easily-defined shaded areas to work with. For a characteristic, high-contrast fantasy dragon image, use crimson reds, charcoal grays, glowing orange eyes, and silver highlights on the fangs.
